With a planning grant, the JEH Project team plans to complete much of the preliminary work needed prior to beginning actual filming of the full-length documentary. This would  include the following activities:

1. 1) Completing final research and/or documentation by Dr. Rhondda Thomas and her Clemson University Creative Inquiry team, including copying documents and pictures, and assembling initial material for the script.

2. 2) Completing Initial background filming, writing and finalizing scripts, story boarding, cast selection, costume design, site selection and background photography and travel as needed done by Dead Horse Productions.

3.  3) Completing fundraising activities supporting the production of the documentary, including developing and distributing promotional materials to interested parties of the Pendleton Historic Foundation and Dr. Thomas/Clemson University Creative Inquiry team.
